The restoration and redevelopment of the former St Vincent de Paul Boys Orphanage in South Melbourne took place over 28 months and two stages. First stage works comprised the restoration of the Cecil St façade and south wing to accommodate 2000m2 of offices, meeting and training rooms for MacKillop Family Services; also the heritage restoration of the 1905 chapel, carpark and landscaping. The rear façade and renovation of the north wing to house a further 1300m2 of offices, rear entrance and lift occurred in the second major stage of works.
